Mr. Wolf Schlossberg-Cohen has been been the lead artist for over fifty public art projects. In 2001, Jay was involved with a partnership in West Baltimore that led to creating Rebuilding thru Art Project, Inc. (RAP), his primary partner for community-based public art. RAP was founded in 2003, with assistance from Jay's Open Society Institute Community Fellowship and partners Ren Poulsen of Neighborhood Design Center, and John Hailey, president of Midtown Edmondson Avenue Improvement Association. RAP’s mission is to promote community engagement, empowerment, and action through art - transforming people and places. The work inspires pride, self esteem, teamwork, critical thinking, solutions, sanctuary, beautification, multi-generations working together, “Look, I did that".
Other major partners include The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's OrchKids Program, Morgan State University Visual Arts Department, Baltimore City Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools, and nationally known artist/professor E. Blaise DePaolo.
